Andrew Carnegie vs. Napoleon Hill
I read an interesting message on Mike Litman’s blog about the secret that made Andrew Carnegie one of the top two richest people in history.
Specifically, that secret comes down to 7 words:
“An obsessional desire to render useful service“.
Shortly I’ll share the comment I posted on Mike’s blog to his message, and I’d like you to share your thoughts, and how one feels compared with the other.
Of course Andrew Carnegie is the person who commissioned Napoleon Hill to devote at least 20 years of his life to compiling “The Success Philosophy”, the way anyone can become as wealthy as he or she desires
That, in fact, is ‘The Carnregie Vision”, which IS my “obsessional desire” to fulfill…. through YOUR results!
This is what I posted on Mike’s blog….
Thank you for this truly important message, Mike.
Interesting to note the difference between what Napoleon Hill teaches and Andrew Carnegie teaches.
It may be the same message, although Andrew Carnegie conveys it with such strength, and power, and ability to influence people and make it hit….
Well, let’s just say it’s clear why is legacy stands so strong still today!
In the way of comparison or contrast, Napoleon Hill talks about “obsessional desire” as “the white heat of desire”.
Sure it sounds good. And is a visual metaphor that’s easy to remember.
And it expresses the idea clearly.
It still does not resonate with the same level of juice as “obsessional desire” does.
Interesting to note the similarities…. and yet, the differences, between “The Original” and the “Second Generation Copy”, in a manner of speaking.
Warmly,

I never thought of doing a vs between the two. Andrew carnegie and Napoleon Hill will always have a place in my life. I must say if I had not listened to the audiobook and read the book think and grow rich I don’t know how my life would be today.
