Meanwhile, in the Men’s Singles showdown, world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia exacted revenge against Du Pengyu from China, who had defeated him in their last encounter. Lee displayed his explosive speed, deception, and precision in jump smashes, overwhelming Du with a score of 21-12 21-15.

The Victor Korea Open witnessed a dominant performance by the host country as Korean players claimed victory in both finals featuring their compatriots. In the second game, Wang made a remarkable comeback, saving three match points to level the score at 20-all. However, Sung maintained her composure and executed a brilliant backhand net kill under pressure, ultimately securing the victory.

Despite Du’s efforts to regain momentum in the second game, Lee’s relentless pace proved too much to handle. Lee confidently raised the intensity, leaving Du frustrated as the match slipped away from his grasp.
