If being the top seeds for the Li-Ning BWF World Championships later this month is a good omen, then Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei and Li Xuerui of China should be in a buoyant mood. They head the seedings in Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles respectively for the prestigious tournament following today’s announcement by the Badminton World Federation. Both star shuttlers faltered in the finals of last year’s World Championships and will be keen to make amends at Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen.

Men’s Singles:

  • Lee Chong Wei (Malaysia) is the top seed for the tournament.
  • China’s Chen Long is the No.2 seed.
  • Jan O Jorgensen (Denmark) is the No.3 seed.

  • The top ten seeds also include Sung Ji Hyun (Korea), Bae Yeon Ju (Korea), Saina Nehwal (India), Tai Tzu Ying (Chinese Taipei), Carolina Marin (Spain), Porntip Buranaprasertsuk (Thailand), and P.V. Sindhu (India).
