AGM Meeting Time and Travel Grant
The AGM will take place from 10:00 to 16:00. Additionally, each member in “good standing” will receive a travel support grant for one delegate. This grant will be paid after the AGM, and more information will be provided in the week beginning Monday, January 29.
Accommodation and Official Hotel

Every member must book and pay for accommodation at the official hotel, Holiday Inn Chengdu City West Tower, in advance. Details on how to book and pay for the hotel will be sent to you in the week beginning January 29. BWF will reimburse members with three nights of accommodation for their Voting Delegate if they attend both the Members’ Forum and the AGM.
Continental Confederation (CCs) AGMs
Some CCs will also hold their 2024 AGMs in Chengdu on Thursday, April 25. Badminton Africa, Badminton Asia, Badminton Oceania, and Badminton Pan Am are expected to have their AGMs in Chengdu. However, we recommend checking with your CC before making any travel arrangements.
If your CC has its AGM in Chengdu, and your Voting Delegate attends the CC AGM, the Members’ Forum, and the BWF AGM, BWF will reimburse your Voting Delegate for one additional night of accommodation (four nights in total).

Your Tasks – Get Ready
To ensure a smooth experience at the AGM, here are some tasks you need to accomplish:
- Decide who your delegate(s) will be.
- Check the expiry date of their passport. It should have at least 6 months of validity from the date of travel.
- Complete the Delegate Nomination Form and send it to Patricia [email protected] no later than February 23.
- Complete the Visa Support Form and send the completed form, along with a copy of the main page of the passports of people seeking a visa for China, to Patricia [email protected] no later than February 23.
- Check for flight options for your delegate and inform us of the flight arrival time, departure time, and flight number. We will provide an arrival/departure form for you to complete.
- If your Continental Confederation is hosting its AGM in Chengdu on Thursday, April 25, please plan your stay accordingly.
